Further Information

This service is ideal for employers and employees needing personalised assessments due to health concerns, workplace requirements, or specific job roles. Bespoke medicals are also suitable when only certain elements of a standard medical assessment are required.

Bespoke occupational health medical packages can include a range of health screenings, assessments, and services designed to support employee health and wellbeing. These may include:

  • Pre-Employment Screenings: Conducted via questionnaires or medical examinations.
  • Periodic Health Screenings: Performed to meet industry requirements or support staff health.
  • Workplace Clinics: Led by nurses to provide health advice and guidance.
  • Physical Checks: Included as part of a corporate health check package.
  • Functional Rehabilitation Services: Provided as part of a bespoke wellbeing programme.

The duration of the medical varies depending on the package selected. On average, bespoke medicals can take anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes. Once your bespoke medical package is tailored to your needs, we will confirm the approximate time required.

Our team includes COSHH-certified, HSE, and MCA-approved Occupational Health Physicians, Registered Occupational Health Nurses, and Trained Occupational Health Technicians. We will ensure you are assessed by the appropriate specialist based on your specific requirements.

The validity of the certificate depends on the type of medicals performed. Following your assessment, you will be issued with a certificate or report relating to your bespoke medical package.

Patients should bring the following items, where applicable:

  • Eyewear and Contact Lens Solution: Contact lenses should be removable if necessary.
  • Hearing Aids: If used, these should be brought to the appointment.
  • Photo ID: Such as a passport or driving licence.
  • List of Medications: A written record of any current medications being taken.
  • Medical Records: Any documentation relevant to pre-existing medical conditions.

Clothing requirements depend on the type of medical being conducted. If the assessment involves a fitness test, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing, activewear, and trainers.

Pathways Occupational Health advises that minimising or dismissing symptoms or concerns may prevent the occupational health professional from fully understanding your situation, which could delay necessary interventions or workplace adjustments.

If you wish to bring a chaperone to your appointment, please call in advance so we can inform the clinician.

Certificate validation is subject to multiple factors, including the findings of your medical report and the specific criteria set by your employer. The validation periods provided on our website represent typical outcomes and are intended as general guidelines. Actual validation times may vary based on individual circumstances and company requirements.
